A Star Airlines flight scheduled to land in Shivamogga was diverted to Belagavi due to unavoidable circumstances, leading to inconvenience for the passengers.
The aircraft, en route from Tirupati to Shivamogga, was forced to land at Sambra Airport in Belagavi around 8:30 PM on Sunday due to heavy rainfall in Shivamogga, according to officials.
There were 60 passengers on board. Many expressed frustration as Star Airlines failed to provide timely alternative arrangements. While efforts were made, no effective solution could be found, leaving passengers stranded at the airport for several hours. Eventually, many had to take shelter in nearby lodges in Belagavi.
