MP and former Union Minister Sharad Pawar visited a 300-bed cancer hospital under construction by KLE Society in Belgaum on Monday. Mr. Pawar, who laid the foundation stone for the hospital in 2011, expressed satisfaction with the rapid progress of the construction. He urged doctors to ensure the provision of quality healthcare.
KLE Society chairman and BJP leader Prabhakar Kore noted that the building is nearly complete and that the hospital is expected to be operational within two months. He also mentioned that one section of the hospital is already open and treating patients.
The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader was accompanied by hospital director Mallikarjun Jali and board members Mahantesh Kavatagimath and V.S. Sadhunavar. KAHER Vice-Chancellor Nitin Gangane, CEO Naveen N., N.S. Mahantashetti, and others were also in attendance.
