Police in Hirebagewadi have arrested 7 individuals and initiated an inquiry into the questionable demise of a 17-year-old pregnant minor in Hirebagewadi village on Saturday. The family of the husband is under suspicion. Tahsildar Siddaray Bhosagi, along with Hirebagewadi police officials, conducted an on-site examination. A case has been filed under the Pocso Act.
A report was filed at the Hirebagewadi police station against 7 individuals. DCP Rohan Jagdish mentioned that an inquiry is underway, considering various aspects such as child marriage, underage pregnancy, and harassment at the husband’s residence. Seven individuals, including the deceased girl’s father, mother, husband, and his brother, have been taken into custody.
