Several students were injured when a school bus overturned on Gokak and Paschapur Road on the morning of Wednesday, July 24. The bus, which was transporting students from a private English-medium school in Maradimath village, Gokak taluk, overturned, resulting in five students sustaining serious injuries and several others suffering minor injuries.
The accident occurred while the bus was transporting students from Mavanur, Godchinamalaki, and Melamatti villages. Local police arrived at the scene to investigate. Parents expressed anger over the poor condition of the roads, noting that they have been neglected for several years despite repeated requests for repairs.
