PWD Minister and KPCC working president Satish Jarkiholi has urged BJP and JDS leaders to stop plotting against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, a key figure in the Ahinda (Kannada acronym for minorities, backward classes, and Dalits) coalition. He warned that if efforts to destabilize the state government persist, the Congress leadership may need to parade its ministers and MLAs before the Governor to demonstrate their support.
Jarkiholi criticized the BJP-JDS alliance for trying to tarnish Siddaramaiah’s reputation without valid reasons, stating that the CM is effectively leading the government and addressing people’s aspirations. He asserted that the conspiracies against Siddaramaiah, fueled by opposition dissatisfaction, would not succeed.
Expressing confidence in Siddaramaiah’s continued leadership for the next four years, Jarkiholi noted that the BJP has a history of disrupting Congress-led state governments across the country, often with the help of state governors. He suggested that JDS leaders HD Deve Gowda and HD Kumaraswamy might have promised Union Home Minister Amit Shah that they would bring down the Karnataka government. Jarkiholi emphasized the need for Congress to remain vigilant against such opposition tactics, echoing Siddaramaiah’s own concerns about attempts to topple his government in recent months.
