A 24-year-old youth, Rasheed Sheikh, ended his life after his father confronted him for purchasing an iPhone worth Rs 70,000. The emotional fallout from the argument reportedly led Rasheed to take the drastic step. The incident occurred in Belagavi and has been registered by the APMC police.
The obsession with owning an iPhone has resulted in a heartbreaking incident in Karnataka’s Belagavi. A 24-year-old man took his own life following a heated dispute with his father over the purchase of a Rs 70,000 iPhone. According to police, the argument triggered a series of emotional events that led to the suicide.
Officials stated that Rasheed’s father had questioned his need to spend a large amount on a mobile phone. Deeply disturbed by the scolding, Rasheed ended his life.
“A 24-year-old man, Rasheed Sheikh, died by suicide after his father questioned his decision to buy an expensive iPhone worth Rs 70,000. Upset by the reprimand, he took the extreme step,” confirmed APMC police, where the case has been registered.
