Residents of Ugar Budruk village in Belagavi district, along with some gram panchayat members, staged a protest on Sunday by locking the gram panchayat office.
They accused the Panchayat Development Officer of non-cooperation with members and villagers and alleged improper implementation of government schemes.
A memorandum demanding the officer’s transfer was submitted to Taluk Panchayat Executive Officer Veeranna Wali.
