The district authorities have allocated ₹316.52 crore in crop loss relief to 3,74,066 farmers in Belgaum district. This assistance will be transferred directly to their bank accounts using the Farmer Registration and Unified Beneficiary Information System (FRUITS) software.
According to a statement from Deputy Commissioner Nitesh Patil, approximately 42,000 farmers encountering issues such as non-linkage with Aadhaar, name mismatches, or other reasons can seek assistance by visiting either the Tahsildar office or the help desk at the office of the Assistant Director of Agriculture.
