Authorities have apprehended three individuals in distinct incidents of vending alcohol in public areas across various sections of the region. Kakathi station police detained Kadappa Basappa Valikara on Tuesday for unlawfully vending liquor in New Vantamuri within the taluk. They confiscated liquor valued at ₹6,714 from him.
Similarly, Hirebagewadi police station apprehended Vithala Vaddina on the same day for illegally selling liquor in Virapanakoppa within the taluk. Police confiscated liquor sachets and ₹400 in cash. Ravi Gudaiyagola (52), who was unlawfully vending smuggled goods near Muchandi-Budranur cross within the taluk, was apprehended by Marihal station police on Wednesday. They seized goods worth ₹10,000 from him.
