Police have arrested a 35-year-old man for allegedly killing a 49-year-old man on suspicion that the victim was having an affair with his mother.
The accused, identified as Irayya Mathpati, reportedly murdered Basavaraj Hosmani in Basidoni village near Saundatti in Belagavi district.
According to police sources, the accused also took photographs of himself standing on the victim’s body and shared them on social media.
The suspect has been taken into custody and further investigation is underway.
