Belagavi Member of Parliament (MP) Iranna Kadadi held a meeting with Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw in New Delhi on Monday. During their discussions, MP Kadadi addressed several critical issues concerning the development of the railway infrastructure in the Belagavi region.
Among the key requests put forth by MP Kadadi was the initiation of a Belagavi-Goa Fast Passenger train service, aimed at enhancing connectivity between these two cities. Additionally, he advocated for the introduction of a Belagavi-Pune Vande Bharat train, which would expand transportation options for local residents and travelers in the vicinity.
Highlighting the necessity for a railway ancillary unit, specifically a factory dedicated to manufacturing railway spare parts, in Kittur, MP Kadadi emphasized that such a facility would not only create employment opportunities within the community but also contribute to the broader development of the railway sector in the region.
Furthermore, MP Kadadi urged for the extension of the Mumbai-Gadag railway to Bellary, a move that would significantly improve connectivity between these significant cities.
Minister Vaishnaw responded positively to MP Kadadi’s proposals and assured him that a thorough review would be conducted, followed by necessary actions. The meeting was also attended by Rajya Sabha MP Shri K. Narayana.
