In a surprising turn in the DCC Bank polls, Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar’s brother and MLC Channaraj Hattiholi has pulled out of the race for the director’s post.
District in-charge Minister Satish Jarkiholi confirmed the development through a video message, stating that Channaraj withdrew after his intervention. Hattiholi, who had been preparing for the Khanapura taluk seat for the past four to five months, has opted out citing political circumstances.
Jarkiholi added that further details on the reasons behind the withdrawal will be shared in the coming days.
