In Navage village, Belgaum, a tense atmosphere unfolded as a group of approximately 30 individuals reportedly vandalized four homes and engaged in stone pelting, causing damage to vehicles. The targets of this aggression included both former and current Panchayat members, according to local authorities.
The incident is believed to stem from a romantic involvement between a high school student from Karle village and a college student from Navage village. Maruti Hurakadli, a resident of Navage and a Panch, had intervened in the situation, further fueling the unrest.

In response, an enraged group armed with firearms, swords, and sticks embarked on a destructive spree, targeting not only Hurakadli’s residence but also the homes of others involved in the matter.
To restore order, law enforcement has been deployed in the area. DCP Rohan Jagadish, rural ACP Girish H.V, and other senior officers conducted on-site visits, initiating a thorough investigation into the incident.

Reacting to the unfortunate events, Karnataka Woman and Child Development Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar visited the location on Tuesday to assess the situation firsthand.
