Lokayukta officials conducted a major raid on Wednesday morning at the residence and offices of Khanapur Tahsildar Prakash Sridhar Gaekwad, following allegations of possessing disproportionate assets.
The operation began at Gaekwad’s residence in Ganeshpur and extended to his properties in Nippani and Khanapur. Led by Belagavi SP Hanamantharai, the raid proceeded smoothly without any resistance.
Key documents and records are under examination as part of the investigation. DySP Pushpalatha and PI Niranjan Patil are pivotal in uncovering evidence linked to the allegations.
The Lokayukta’s probe is ongoing, and further updates on the case are anticipated.
