A distressing incident unfolded at Belagavi City Central Bus Depot-1, where a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) mechanic was found dead inside a KSRTC bus late on Friday night (March 7).
The deceased, identified as 58-year-old K.T. Kamadolli, allegedly ended his life due to persistent workplace harassment. His family claims that despite repeated requests for a duty change, authorities failed to act, pushing him into distress.
Kamadolli was discovered hanging inside a parked KSRTC bus at the depot. Transport officials and police reached the scene to initiate an investigation.
Family members revealed that he had been battling severe back pain and had repeatedly sought lighter duties, but his pleas were ignored. On the day of the incident, he was reportedly assigned a strenuous task despite his condition, which allegedly drove him to take this extreme step.
His wife has held officials responsible, accusing them of negligence and indifference to his suffering, which she believes led to this tragic outcome.
