A state-level executive gathering of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (KRV), under the leadership of TA Narayana Gowda, took place at Kannada Bhavan on Saturday. Representatives from all districts of KRV attended the meeting, contributing ideas, and several significant resolutions were approved.
Deliberations took place regarding the policies and regulations of both the state and central governments concerning Karnataka, focusing on issues related to the state, language, land, water, and employment for Kannadigas.
During the event, KRV state president Narayana Gowda announced the issuance of an order mandating businesses to display a minimum of 60% Kannada on their signboards. He cautioned that if compliance doesn’t occur within the stipulated deadline, protests will be organized across all 31 districts. Narayana Gowda highlighted past struggles in Bengaluru regarding the language’s preservation. Allegedly, during a meeting led by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Police Commissioner Dayanand recommended his three-month arrest, claiming such officers pose a threat to Kannada’s survival.
