The State government has appointed Karnataka Administrative Service officer Karthik M. as the new Commissioner of the Belagavi City Corporation.
Mr. Karthik assumed office on Friday, taking over from M. Shubha, a young officer from the Karnataka Municipal Administration Service.
Ms. Shubha served in Belagavi for two years and also briefly held the post of Managing Director of Smart City.
Before this posting, Mr. Karthik worked as the Chief Administrative Officer at the Sanjay Gandhi Trauma and Orthopaedic Institute in Bengaluru.
