In a shocking turn of events, the manager and secretary of the Jamboti-based PKPS Society in Khanapur taluk have gone missing, bringing the society’s functioning to a standstill.
The absentees have been identified as manager Khandoba Raut and secretary Shrinath Khade. Their disappearance has disrupted routine operations and sparked concerns over possible hurdles in the upcoming DCC Bank elections.
Society chairperson Dhanashri Sardesai found the office locked during her visit, and repeated calls to the officials went unanswered as their phones remained switched off.
There are mounting fears that key documents, resolution books, and other election-related records may have gone missing along with them. Chairperson Sardesai has lodged a formal complaint with the Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Belagavi, urging swift intervention.
The incident has left members and stakeholders in a state of uncertainty, awaiting further action from the authorities.
