SBOF Agrosmart Private Limited, a start-up based in Belagavi, has introduced SBOF Agrosmart, touted as India’s first AI-powered all-in-one agriculture app. The app aims to transform the farming landscape by offering comprehensive support to farmers, said founders Savio Pereira and Swati Pereira.
Farmers in India continue to face challenges such as unpredictable weather, unstable market prices, pest and disease outbreaks, poor-quality inputs, limited access to government schemes, and a lack of timely information.
With a decade of expertise in agri-inputs and fertiliser manufacturing, the company has developed a cutting-edge platform leveraging Artificial Intelligence, IoT, and expert-led advisory services to deliver data-backed, real-time, and location-specific agricultural solutions.
A key feature of the app is its multilingual chatbot, offering 24/7 assistance to users.
The app was officially launched in Belagavi by PWD Minister Satish Jarkiholi, in the presence of MLA Asif (Raju) Sait, BUDA Chairman Laxmanrao Chingale, DCC Bank President Appasaheb Kulgode, former minister Veerakumar Patil, and former MLAs Sham Bheem Ghatge, Arvind Patil, and Kakasaheb Patil.
