The individual behind the threat to detonate explosives at Hindalaga Central Jail and Parappana Agrahara Jail in Bangalore has been identified. The accused in question is Kiran Moshi, a 48-year-old resident of Hukkeri town within the district. Currently, he is located in Bangalore, constantly changing his whereabouts. City Police Commissioner S.N. has confirmed the formation of a specialized team tasked with apprehending the suspect, and this team has already been dispatched to Bangalore.
The threat, made on October 8, involved Kiran Moshi contacting the DIGP North Zone of the Prisons Department, T.P. Sesha, and conveying his intention to set off explosives within the prisons, incite disturbances, and take lives. Sesha promptly reported the incident to the local police station.
Sidramappa, an official involved in the case, stated, “The accused placed the call using a SIM registered in his wife’s name. The call was made from three different mobile numbers, all of which have been successfully traced. One of these numbers is linked to his wife. We have a clear lead on the accused, and his arrest is imminent.”
It is worth noting that last year, this same individual hacked someone else’s social media account and shared explicit content, leading to his arrest and a 10-day confinement at Hindalaga Central Jail on cybercrime charges. The authorities believe these actions stemmed from a desire for sudden notoriety and attention.
