An FIR has been filed by the Nangagad police in Khanapur taluk against six individuals in connection with the death of a youth in a shooting incident. The police are investigating whether the shooting was accidental or intentional. The incident occurred early Monday near the Narasewadi bridge on Halasi-Bakawad road in Khanapur taluk, when the group of youths, allegedly out hunting with a gun in the forest, were involved in the shooting. Altaf Makandar, 27, from Halasi, was fatally shot in the chest.
The FIR names Usman Tashildar, Maktum Tashildar, Arbaz Kittur, Malik Saiwale, Ismail Tashildar, and Mabusubhani Tashildar, all residents of Halasi village.
SP Dr. Bhimashankar Guled confirmed that peacock meat was found at the scene, and it has been sent for laboratory testing. The case has been registered at the Nandagad police station.
