A farmer, Prabhu Shinotkar, aged 61, survived a bear attack on Tuesday morning at Londa village in Khanapur taluk. Shinotkar was on his way to his farm when three bears approached him from behind, causing severe injuries. He managed to fend them off by throwing stones at the bears.
The farmer, who sustained severe injuries, has been hospitalized at the BIMS district government hospital in Belagavi. The incident has left villagers in a state of fear.
