A quarrel over ₹500 ended in the death of a man in Yallur village, Belagavi taluk.
The victim was identified as Husen Gaus Saab Tasewale (45) of Yallur. Police have arrested two villagers, Mithun and Manoj, in connection with the incident.
Police Commissioner Bhushan Borase said Husen and the accused were engaged in construction scrap work.
On Saturday night, a dispute arose near Husen’s house regarding ₹500 from scrap sale proceeds. During the confrontation, the accused allegedly assaulted Husen in his private parts, causing his death.
Belagavi Rural Police have registered a case, and the accused are under interrogation.
