The Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India, is set to celebrate its platinum jubilee in 2025 with a series of events, with one of the key highlights being a grand exhibition at KLE Technological University, Dr MS Sheshgiri Campus, Belagavi, on February 5, starting at 9:30 AM. The exhibition will showcase over 30 models and include live demonstrations by DAE scientists, providing students with a unique and valuable insight into the world of atomic energy and nuclear technology.
In collaboration with KLE Technological University, Dr MS Sheshgiri Campus, Belagavi, the Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR) from Kalpakkam, Tamil Nadu, is also organizing ‘ANU YATRA-2025’ — a project exhibition and competition for high school students.
‘ANU YATRA-2025’ aims to highlight India’s indigenous progress in nuclear technology and its contribution to Atma Nirbhar Bharat. The Nuclear Science Yatra will emphasize the role of civil nuclear energy in national development and introduce students to the potential career opportunities within DAE. IGCAR scientists will deliver technical talks to inspire and educate students about nuclear science and its diverse applications.
Additionally, a competition for high school students will be held under the theme “Atoms in the service of nation,” encouraging scientific curiosity, creativity, and awareness of the importance of nuclear science in national progress.
