At least 10 people were injured when an NWKRTC bus travelling from Bengaluru to Athani rammed into a tree near Mabanur Cross in Belagavi district late on October 14.
Police personnel promptly shifted the injured to Gokak Taluk Hospital and other nearby hospitals.
Relatives of the injured alleged that ambulances from the Health Department failed to respond despite repeated calls to the department’s helpline soon after the accident, which occurred around 3 a.m.
