A man was savagely attacked over 24 times with a sickle on a busy road in broad daylight in Belagavi. The victim, Maktum Tathagar, a resident of Aravalli village, suffered severe injuries and was rushed to the Government Hospital in Bailahongala for treatment.
The accused, Muthu Ganachari, has been taken into custody by the police. A video of the attack shows Muthu repeatedly striking Maktum with a sickle before fleeing the scene, leaving the victim in a pool of blood.
Dodawad police have launched an investigation into the incident.
