Brother International (India) Private Limited (“Brother India”), a subsidiary of Brother Industries Ltd., Japan, and a leading provider of printing and imaging solutions, has expanded its CSR program in collaboration with Mahesh Foundation, Belagavi. The initiative aims to support the education of 375 underprivileged children during FY 2025-26, ensuring access to quality learning, healthcare, and overall development.
For the past 17 years, Mahesh Foundation has worked to uplift underprivileged and socially disadvantaged children through its Care Home, offering shelter, nutrition, healthcare, and education. The foundation has so far transformed the lives of over 4,200 children, assisted 81,000 families affected by HIV, facilitated education for 38,000 children, and spread HIV/AIDS awareness to nearly 900,000 students.
The CSR tie-up with Brother India will further enhance Mahesh Foundation’s mission to empower children with education and skills, contributing to the Sustainable Development Goal of Quality Education.
Alok Nigam, Managing Director of Brother International (India) Private Limited, said,
“I extend my gratitude to Mahesh Foundation for allowing us to contribute to this noble cause. The impact created is truly inspiring, though I am aware that many more children in and around Belagavi remain deprived of education. I am hopeful Mahesh Foundation will continue to bring them into the mainstream. We are proud to be associated with their mission and firmly believe these children, with proper guidance, will achieve great success. My best wishes to the Mahesh Foundation team and the children for a brighter future.”
Mahesh Jadhav, Founder of Mahesh Foundation, said,
“We are grateful to Brother International (India) Private Limited for their continued support and trust. Though located far away, the company has consistently recognized our work and stood by us over the years. This recognition motivates us to strive harder for society. We look forward to a lasting partnership that will benefit more children in the years ahead.”
The continuation of this initiative was formally marked at a ceremony on September 24, 2025, at Mahesh Foundation in Belagavi.
Through this partnership, Brother India reaffirms its commitment to sustainable community development while advancing the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. The initiative directly supports SDG 4 – Quality Education – by enabling equal learning opportunities and providing essential resources for children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
