Two men from Belgaum, identified as 30-year-old Prasad Punaji and 28-year-old Sagar Punaji, have been taken into custody for allegedly stealing a motorcycle worth Rs 1.59 lakh from the open parking area of Hotel Neo Majestic in Porvorim. The theft, reported on October 25, was swiftly investigated, leading to the recovery of the bike and the suspects’ arrest on October 28.
Authorities are urging the public to stay vigilant about vehicle safety, particularly in open parking areas. They recommend using additional security measures like wheel locks or GPS trackers and parking in well-monitored spaces to prevent such incidents. The police also encourage people to report suspicious activity promptly to aid in crime prevention.
