District Electoral Officer Nitesh Patil has instructed all officials to guarantee impartial and transparent general elections. During a gathering of officials following the Election Commission of India’s (ECI) announcement, the Deputy Commissioner directed Assistant Returning Officers and nodal officers to rigorously uphold the Model Code of Conduct and other guidelines set by the ECI. He emphasized that election-related advertisements from government entities, political parties, candidates, and others must promptly adhere to the prescribed norms.
Posters, graffiti, banners, and cutouts displayed in public areas must be removed within 24 hours. Political activities are prohibited in temples and other religious sites. Tahsildars are responsible for overseeing temples. All tendering and transfer processes are suspended. Government officials are advised against making unnecessary visits to politicians.
Political assemblies and events must receive prior approval through the Suvidha portal. The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the prompt review and processing of applications seeking permission for political gatherings and ceremonies in accordance with regulations.
Organizers must obtain prior approval for hosting political meetings, ceremonies, and events. According to the Model Code of Conduct, they are required to submit an online application on the Suvidha portal at least 48 hours before the scheduled program

A total of 54 check-posts were set up in the district, all of which became operational on Saturday. Rahul Shinde, the Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer and Returning Officer for the Chikkodi Lok Sabha Constituency, emphasized the immediate launch of the Suvidha portal.
Superintendent of Police Bheema Shankar Guled emphasized the formation of teams comprising police and sector officials to ensure effective coordination.
Inspector-General of Police Vikash Kumar Vikash, Deputy Commissioner of Police Rohan Jagadish, Probationary IAS Officer Shubham Shukla, and additional personnel attended the meeting.
