After the Cabinet meeting led by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah at Vidhana Soudha, Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs HK Patil addressed the media regarding the Cabinet’s decisions.
The Cabinet has authorized the administrative approval for a revised estimated budget of Rs. 137.70 crore for the development of a residential layout spanning 157 acres 1 gunta 8 anas of land in Housing Scheme No. 61 at Kanabargi village, under the Belgaum Urban Development Authority.
Initially, the project was approved with an estimated budget of Rs. 127.71 crore based on the uniform schedule of rates for the fiscal year 2023-24. This estimate has since been revised to Rs. 137.70 crore.
In Belgaum Mahanagara, alongside efforts to build water reservoirs and maintain a steady water supply to the city, several municipal officials voiced their discontent in a meeting over L&T’s activities damaging city roads. Legislator Abhay Patil joined them in criticizing L&T’s operations, noting that the company’s representatives ignore advice and have not improved despite repeated warnings. He stressed the need for action against the company’s owner to compel them to take responsibility.
A crucial decision has been made to build public toilets in several public areas across Belgaum Mahanagara. These include Yaramal Road, Maruti Galli, Nath Pai Circle Resaldar Galli, Khasbag Galli, and Kasai Galli, totaling nine locations.
