Ashok Dudagunti, the Commissioner of Belagavi City Corporation, conducted an early morning inspection in Belagavi on Monday.
At approximately 5.30 a.m., Commissioner Ashok Dudagunti pedaled his way to the corporation vehicle depot for a thorough inspection. Taking a unique approach, he hopped on one of the garbage trucks and visited several residential neighborhoods. During his rounds, he made a stop at the garbage collection area near the DCC Bank.
There, he interacted with the garbage collection agents and emphasized the importance of punctuality among workers. Commissioner Dudagunti urged the implementation of a biometric attendance system in these centers to ensure timely attendance and efficiency.
Accompanied by Vani Vilas Joshi, the city corporation member and chairperson of the Town Planning and Development Committee, Commissioner Ashok Dudagunti made a visit to ward number 43. Together, they strolled through several streets, engaging with the local residents. During their interactions, some residents expressed their concerns about the Anagol crematorium in Chidambar Nagar, highlighting the urgent need for its development.
Taking immediate action, the corporation commissioner directed officials to initiate cleaning and maintenance operations promptly. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of planting saplings and installing new electric lamps in the designated area.
With a keen focus on waste management, he urged officials to ensure a seamless garbage collection process in the ward, aiming to address any potential complaints. Furthermore, he specifically tasked officials with resolving issues related to house site encroachments, requesting them to submit a comprehensive report on the matter.
Subsequently, the commissioner proceeded to Bhagya Nagar, where he meticulously inspected the garbage collection zones, the Bhangi Bol Gullis, and various vacant spaces within the corporation’s jurisdiction to assess the area’s cleanliness.
Accompanying him during the visit were several corporation officers, including Anil Borgave and other officials.
