In a move aimed at easing public access and reducing pending workloads, all Sub-Registrar offices in Belagavi district will begin functioning on weekends from June 1, following a directive from the Department of Registration and Stamps.
As per Belagavi District Registrar Mahantesh P. and Deputy Registrar Karibasavanagouda P., the offices will now remain open on second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays on a rotational basis until December 28, 2025.
For instance, the Belagavi North Sub-Registrar office will stay open on June 14 (Second Saturday), with a compensatory holiday scheduled on June 17 (Tuesday). A similar rotation plan has been charted out for other Sub-Registrar offices across the district.
This special working schedule was authorized by K.A. Dayananda, Commissioner of the Registration and Stamps Department, in response to increasing service demands.
Citizens are encouraged to make use of the extended service days. The detailed schedule for each office is accessible through the Kaveri 2.0 software.
The rotational weekend schedule applies to Sub-Registrar offices in:
Belagavi, Belagavi South, Mudalagi, Nippani, Bailhongal, Athani, Chikkodi, Sankeshwar, Kagawad, Gokak, Hukkeri, Khanapura, Sadalga, Kittur, Rayabhaga, Ramadurga, Murgod, and Savadatti.
