Strong winds on Saturday tore off the tin-shed roof of a government primary school in Budigoppa village near Yaragatti, Belagavi district.
Fortunately, no students or staff were present at the time, preventing any injuries.
The roof had been installed on February 15 by the Education Department after the previous one had collapsed.
Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Roshan has directed Education Department officials to submit a report on the incident.
