Belagavi North MLA Asif (Raju) Sait has launched two key civic works, reaffirming his focus on strengthening infrastructure and improving public amenities in the constituency.
Under a ₹36 crore underground drainage project, work has commenced in Subhash Nagar, Khanjar Galli, and Tanaji Galli near Majestic Hotel on Fort Road. The initiative is expected to improve sanitation, curb waterlogging, and offer lasting relief to residents of these thickly populated areas.
During an inspection, MLA Sait reviewed the project progress, interacted with locals, and directed officials to maintain quality and ensure timely completion. “We aim to deliver sustainable, people-centric development that reinforces Belagavi North’s urban framework,” he said.
In addition, Sait inaugurated the construction of a Cement Concrete (CC) road at Patil Galli in Kanbargi, designed to provide durable, all-weather connectivity. The project addresses long-pending issues of damaged roads, ensuring smoother and safer travel for residents.
Local representatives, including Youth Leader Amaan Sait, corporators, and municipal officers, accompanied the MLA at both sites, appreciating his proactive efforts toward modernizing Belagavi North’s infrastructure.
Residents too have welcomed the move, noting that continued investments in basic civic projects are steadily improving the overall living standards across the constituency.
