A man has been arrested in Belagavi district for allegedly harassing a minor girl and driving her to take her own life.
Identified as Siddalinga Pujeri, he had been stalking and pressuring the girl to marry him. Unable to bear the harassment, she ended her life a few days ago.
Following a complaint from her parents, Ghataprabha police took the accused into custody. Officials confirmed that he has been remanded in judicial custody, and a case has been registered.
