Several forest officials, including the Deputy Range Forest Officer, were injured in an unexpected honey bee attack on the Chapgaon-Hadalga road in Khanapur taluk on Saturday.
The officials were carrying out their duties when a swarm of bees attacked them without warning. The injured personnel were quickly treated at the Nandgad Community Health Center, while one staff member with more serious injuries was shifted to the Belagavi District Hospital for further care.
Sunita Nimbargi assured that all injured staff are in stable condition. The incident has raised concerns about the safety of forest personnel on duty, underscoring the need for enhanced precautions in such environments.
