Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Roshan will convene a meeting with Belagavi City Corporation (BCC) employees to address the ongoing concerns between the employees and Commissioner B. Shubha.
This comes after several employees complained with District In-charge Minister Satish Jarkiholi, alleging that the Commissioner had made arbitrary transfers. Following this, the Minister directed Mr. Roshan to step in and resolve the issue.
The employees claimed that Ms. Shubha had transferred 46 BCC staff members without justification. However, the Commissioner has denied these allegations, explaining that she had moved only 20 employees from one department to another in accordance with the rules. She clarified to reporters on Friday that she had compiled a list of 46 employees who had served in the same position for the longest period and reassigned 20 of them to new departments.
She emphasized that these changes were made to benefit both the corporation and the employee’s career growth. Additionally, some employees were shifted between the office and field duties. Ms. Shubha assured that there had been no violations and that she had informed the Minister about the transfers.
