The City Corporation of Belagavi has called for tenders to carry out annual maintenance works on roads, medians, and footpath kerbstones in important city subdivisions.
South Sub-Division:
- Maintenance of Road Dividers and Footpath Kerbstones – ₹33,56,614.80
- Maintenance of Roads – ₹70,00,000
Central Sub-Division:
- Maintenance of Road Medians and Footpath Kerbstones – ₹45,70,000
Work Details:
The maintenance tasks will include:
- Clearing and Grubbing: Removing vegetation such as bushes, shrubs, and saplings from medians and footpath areas using weed cutters or small machinery.
- Surface Preparation: Eliminating existing whitewash or color wash by scraping with steel brushes and sandpaper to smooth the surface, followed by repairing any scratches to prepare for painting.
- Cleaning Smoke and Soot: Washing surfaces affected by smoke and soot with clean water before sanding and repainting.
- Painting: Applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint in approved colors on new concrete and plastered surfaces in accordance with MoRTH (IRC – 803) guidelines.
This initiative forms part of the City Corporation’s efforts to maintain and beautify urban infrastructure throughout Belagavi.
