In a key decision on Thursday, the Belagavi Urban Development Authority (BUDA) approved the transfer of Ramteerth Nagar to the Belagavi City Corporation (BCC) during a joint meeting. The session was led by BCC Commissioner Shubha B., BUDA Commissioner Shakeel Ahmed, and Corporation Member Hanumant Kongali.
As part of the transition, development projects worth ₹25 crore were sanctioned, focusing on road, drainage, and garden improvements to enhance the area’s infrastructure.
Additionally, the approval process for A-Khata and B-Khata e-assets will commence on Monday, aiming to streamline property documentation and ensure transparency.
Another major decision includes the 24×7 drinking water project by L&T, which has received clearance to provide a continuous and reliable water supply to residents.
Key officials present at the meeting included BUDA AEE S.C. Nayak, Basavaraj Hiremath, Manjushree, Prasanna, and Corporation AEE Deshpande, Ankita, and Sunil.
This approval marks a crucial milestone in boosting Ramteerth Nagar’s infrastructure and public services under the jurisdiction of BCC.
