Authorities in Bailahongala have apprehended individuals involved in the theft of 10 pump sets from a farmer’s land near Nayanagar village along the Malaprabha river. Those arrested include Mohammadanadeem Mohammadhaneefa Hebballi (33), Riyaza Rafika Karigara (28), Sameera Nazira Hebballi (21), and Zakir Husena Noorhamada Maladara (25) from Malapoor Qadri Galli, Dharwad.
After their arrest, officials seized 10 pump sets valued at ₹2 lakh and a Tata S vehicle worth ₹3 lakh. The accused have been remanded to judicial custody.
The operation was carried out successfully by a team led by Belgaum SP Bhima Shankar Guleda, along with KSPS Shruti K., Additional SP R.B. Basaragi, DySP Ravi Nayka, PI P.V. Salimath, PSIs Gururaja Kalaburgi, and F.Y., supported by dedicated personnel under the leadership of Mallura.
