Deputy Lokayukta and Justice B. Veerappa inspected the Central Bus Stand in Belagavi on Thursday, directing authorities to seize expired food items found in various eateries. During his visit, the official expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of cleanliness in the toilets constructed for passengers and the absence of price boards. He also raised objections regarding the hygiene standards maintained in the snack shops within the station. Justice Veerappa criticized food safety officers for failing to conduct regular inspections of these establishments. Upon visiting different food stalls, he discovered expired food materials and instructed that these items be confiscated and legal action be taken against the shopkeepers.
