The Belagavi Sub-Registrar Office commenced operations at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office premises on Monday, October 19. This relocation clears the existing site for the construction of a proposed five-storey administrative building that will accommodate multiple government offices.
All essential records, computer systems, and equipment have been shifted to the new premises. Facilities such as electricity, internet connectivity, and computer infrastructure have been arranged to ensure uninterrupted registration services, while special arrangements have been made for the safe storage of old registration records.
Citizens visiting the office for property registration, including the sale and purchase of properties, can access these services at the new location. The administration has made necessary arrangements to ensure that the relocation does not disrupt day-to-day operations or inconvenience the public.
The existing Sub-Registrar Office building will be demolished to make way for the proposed five-storey administrative complex. The plan is to bring various government offices under one roof, making it easier for citizens to access multiple government services at a single location.
With the relocation completed, the immediate priority is to ensure the smooth functioning of registration services at the new premises while preparations are made for the redevelopment of the old office site. The proposed administrative building is expected to consolidate government offices and improve public access to administrative services in Belagavi.
