Public Works Minister Satish Jarkiholi stated that while the Congress does not assert unanimity, it is erroneous to suggest that the government is on the verge of collapse. In response to Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde’s remarks concerning Operation Kamal, Jarkiholi emphasized that there is no internal discord within their party, clarifying that any disagreements remain internal and do not extend beyond the party.
Therefore, the assertion that the government is collapsing is unfounded. Additionally, Jarkiholi questioned whether there could be discussions with the Congress, given the freedom for Eknath Shinde to engage in discussions, including with BJP leaders.
Jarkiholi mentioned that their government’s duration is four years and acknowledged the presence of dissent. However, he argued against the notion that the government is crumbling, labeling it as untrue. He raised the possibility of dissent within the opposing party and speculated on issues concerning categorization and development. He emphasized that challenges arise with authority and assured that they would tackle them.
Additionally, he commented that dissent persists and refuted the claim that it leads to the government’s collapse. He dismissed the analogy, stating that comparing Maharashtra with Karnataka is not appropriate.
Discussing the cabinet reshuffle, Satish added that it’s necessary to consult the CM about it. “No specific tasks or conditions were assigned to the minister during the election; winning wasn’t mandated. The directive should have come from the high command, not from Alway. He mentioned that our situation is not akin to England’s.
Regarding Prajwal Revanna’s case, it’s not a national issue; it’s personal and will be handled by the police. We shouldn’t idealize characters like James Bond; that’s not our focus. The state faces various problems, including a drinking water crisis, which demands attention,” he remarked.
The police are currently investigating the allegations against the chairman. It remains to be seen where these accusations will lead. The IT department is also conducting its own inquiry. Mere allegations without evidence could lead to resignation. They could have presented the same to the CBI. We’ve lodged several cases, and the CBI has echoed what we’ve said. There’s no need to refer it to the CBI, Jarkiholi asserted.
In the Lok Sabha elections, if the BJP wins 14 seats and we win 14 seats, there’s no basis for accusation if the balance is maintained. Sometimes, neutrality is required. We don’t make decisions; the people do, Jarkiholi emphasized.
In the Lok Sabha elections, if the BJP secures victory in 14 constituencies and we also secure victory in 14, there is no grounds for accusation if the balance is maintained. Occasionally, neutrality is necessary. We don’t make the decisions; the people do, Satish stressed.
We have emerged victorious in 5 constituencies in Hyderabad Karnataka in the Lok Sabha elections. The counting is ongoing in the northern regions. Additionally, we are leading in three to four seats in Kirtur, Karnataka. The counting trends are favorable to us. They indicated that the Neha Case constituency is restricted, said Jarkiholi
Regarding the question of appointing a new DCM, it falls under the jurisdiction of the High Command. We have already expressed our position on it. The decision needs to be made by the party, he added.
