In a recent development, the Khade Bazar Belgaum Police have made significant progress by identifying and capturing Mahesha Ningappa Madar, Ameer Babu Elagi, and Prashanth Gopal More in connection with a motorcycle theft case. The individuals not only admitted to their involvement in this specific crime but also confessed to a series of robberies at various locations, leading to the theft of 14 motorcycles with a cumulative value of Rs. 6,79,000/-.
A report was filed at the Khade Bazar Belgaum Police Station about the theft of a motorcycle. The inquiry into the matter took place on 27/11/2023, resulting in the identification of the individuals accused in the case.
They participated in the theft of 14 motorcycles, comprising 01 TVS Apache Motorcycle, 02 Bajaj Pulsar NS Motorcycles, 05 Hero Stender Plus Motorcycles, 02 Honda Motorcycles, and 01 Hero Splendor Pro Motorcycle, amounting to a total value of Rs. 6,79,000/-.
The inquiry led to the resolution of four cases registered at Khadebazar Police Station, one case at Athani Police Station, and one case of Motorcycle Theft reported at Jal Nagar Police Station. The ongoing efforts include identifying the legitimate owners of the stolen motorcycles, while the apprehended suspects have been brought before the appropriate court.
Under the supervision of Mrs. Sneha PV, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime & Traffic), and with the guidance of Mr. Arun Kumar Kolur, ACP Khadebazar Sub Division, Mr. DP Nimbalakar, Police Inspector, and Mr. Ananda Adagonda, PSI, along with the committed team members AB Shetty and BS Rudrapura, the search operation for the accused individuals was conducted.
