In preparation for the upcoming winter session of the state legislature at Suvarna Vidhana Soudha in Belgaum, over 5,000 police officers are set to be deployed to ensure security from December 4 to 15. Police Commissioner S N Sidramappa, addressing the media on Monday, assured that comprehensive security measures were underway for the legislative session.
The dedicated police force comprises five Superintendents of Police (SPs), 12 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySPs), and 100 police inspectors. Commissioner Sidramappa also revealed that arrangements for the accommodation of these personnel have been established at 15 different locations.
The commitment to maintaining a secure environment underscores the authorities’ diligence in safeguarding the proceedings and participants during this significant legislative event.
