Anjana Ajit Daddikar (49) was found strangled at her residence in Ganeshpur, Belagavi, on the night of April 21.
Police suspect robbery as a motive, as valuables such as her mangalsutra and earrings were reported missing.
Her husband, Ajit Daddikar, an auto driver, informed the police he had discovered her unconscious. However, doctors declared her brought dead.
Deputy Commissioners of Police Rohan Jagadeesh and Niranjan Raje Urs, along with Circle Inspector Altaf Mulla, visited the location.
“One suspect has been secured. Investigation is underway,” said Mr. Jagadeesh while speaking to the media.
