A tragic incident occurred in Modaga village of Belagavi taluk, where a young man ended his life after being dismissed from his job.
The deceased has been identified as Ravi Veeranagowda Hattiholi (24), a resident of Modaga. An MCA graduate, Ravi had been employed at a multinational company in Pune for the past year.
Fifteen days ago, he was terminated from his position. Distressed by the situation, Ravi returned to his native village and died by suicide, hanging himself at his residence.
Officials from Marihal police station visited the spot and initiated an investigation. A case has been registered at the station.
