A 17-year-old girl was reportedly assaulted by two individuals in Kakati village, Belagavi district, Karnataka, on April 10. The incident occurred when the girl, sent by her father Arjun Babu to collect his unpaid wages from his employers Ashok Bhajantri and Kareppa Bhajantri, was allegedly attacked.
According to her father’s complaint to the police, not only did the employers refuse to release his pending wages, but they also purportedly assaulted his daughter.
The girl sustained injuries to her face, stomach, and back, resulting in her admission to the ICU of a hospital.
